Is the hike difficult for young children?

Not at all! The trails are relatively flat and well-marked. We welcome children as young as 3 years old.

Are entrance fees included in the price?

Yes, the National Park entrance fee is fully included in your booking, with no hidden costs.

Can we see the lava flowing?

The volcano is currently in a resting phase, so there is no glowing lava. However, you will walk directly on the massive, solidified lava flows from past eruptions.

Is transportation provided?

Yes, we include air-conditioned round-trip transportation from most hotels in the La Fortuna area.

What wildlife might we see?

The park is home to sloths, monkeys, coatis, and hundreds of bird species like toucans and parrots.

How long is the actual walking portion?

The walking portion typically lasts about 2 to 2.5 hours at a leisurely, educational pace.

Should I bring a raincoat?

In the rainforest, rain can happen at any time. We recommend bringing a light raincoat or poncho just in case.
