Excellent tour! José was our guide for the hanging bridges and he was a very informative and excellent experience. We had 4 children with us and he was very patient and tailored to tour to our needs. He brought a big lens so we could get pictures and see detail of animals/reptiles. We saw 3 different kinds of monkeys, poisonous frogs, birds, and snakes. Excellent tour, about 3 hours.

Great tour for all ages. Our family enjoyed the afternoon on the river. Alberto was a great guide and hopped into the river a few times to position the raft to see wildlife. We saw 2 owls, howler monkeys, 2 crocodiles, 1 sloth, a group of tiny bats, turtles, and lots of birds. Choose the afternoon tour if you want more shade. We had shade most of the time and some pleasant breezes. Our guide said they see more crocodiles in the morning, but it can be very hot. The paddling was not strenuous. The snack and chocolate after were delicious, and there were lots of howler monkeys to watch near the food area. The whole trip from pickup to drop off was about 4 hrs with 2hrs on the river.

My wife and I just had the most wonderful time with the Canoa Aventura tour group! Joe and Joshua were excellent guides as we explored Peñas Blancas river by raft. We saw white faced howler monkeys, a brown throated sloth, crocodiles, vultures, and cool lizards. After, to our surprise, we were treated to delicious homemade tortillas with fried cheese and sweet plantains, fresh coffee, and sugarcane tea. Then we had a mini chocolate making workshop and got to taste real milk chocolate! Everyone was so kind and informative. Thank you for a great time! Highly recommend -Alex and Sam
