The Tilarán mountain range, one of the most important mountain formations in Costa Rica, home of the famous Arenal Volcano and its older brother Cerro Chato. Once again surprises us with incredible forests, mountains and hills to explore!

Los Perdidos hills are located 7 km southwest from La Fortuna, in the town of San Miguel, La Tigra, San Carlos, only 30 minutes drive. It is a group of volcanic relics surrounded by a crater structure. They were formed by a volcanic activity about 90,000 years ago, predecessor of the Chato volcano.

Canoa Aventura offers the first trek in Cerro Los Perdidos, an amazing trek for those who are looking to explore pristine rivers, rain forests and enjoy the fresh air offered by the mountains. It is a physically demanding trek, but extremely rewarding:
Our trek consists of a walk of 12 kilometers in total of rustic pathway where we will have the opportunity to observe different species of flora and fauna but our main goal is to discover the incredible volcanic fumaroles and enjoy a bath in beautiful hot thermals surrounded by mud with many minerals great for your skin (volcanic mud facial mask), to explore hot mud pools hidden in the mysterious forest, and for those who prefer a fresh-water bath, will have many opportunities to do so in the fresh rivers and waterfalls we cross along the route.
Join our professional naturalist guides to explore one of the most beautiful treks in Costa Rica!
