Our river trips run rain or shine – you’re going to get wet anyway!! If river conditions are unsuitable for the Río Sarapiquí, our head guide might make the call to change to a back-up river of a similar level and/or offer another tour. We depend on Mother Nature for good water flow, but water levels may be low in dry season. Part of the Sarapiquí River is also controlled by a hydroelectric dam which may result in slightly lower water levels on the weekends. Our back-up river options include the lower section of the Río Sarapiquí at Pozo Azul (Class II & III)l, Río Toro Class (III & IV), Río Balsa (Class II & III) or Río Tenorio Class II & IV). You're guaranteed to have a fun & safe time on this trip. However, if no tour is run, you will receive a full refund.
