After just a 20 min drive to the farm, we will start our 2 ½ hour trek through the forest. During this walk, we have the possibility of spotting 3 different species of monkeys, sloths, and a large variety of birds, including the Toucan.

For those who are looking for a physically demanding hike, Cerro Chato Volcano, which has had no volcanic activity for the past 3,500 years, is the perfect choice. One can appreciate the changes from rainforest to cloud forest while climbing the peak, measuring approximately 3,700 ft.

We will begin the tour in Fortuna and ride in a minibus around Arenal Volcano to the Hotel “Observatory Lodge”. From there we will start the steep hike to the summit of “Cerro Chato” crossing a very compact, primary rainforest on our way. From the summit, we will walk down to the green lagoon (an old volcano crater) where we can swim, take pictures, or simply enjoy our surroundings.

This unique hike combines nature's beauty with a great opportunity to observe wonderful flora and fauna. During our hike through the Tenorio Volcano National Park we will pass by the River Celeste Lagoon and walk along two crystal-clear streams coming together to form the Rio Celeste.

The Sarapiqui River is one of the most exuberant rivers of Costa Rica, and makes the perfect rafting trip for adventurous paddlers. You will have about 2 hours of paddling, with at least 12 rapids being continuous class III & IV. Moving along over 10 miles of lush, vibrant jungle, you'll make your way through thrilling rapids such as "Pipeline," "The Terminator" and "Dos Locos." Once we've conquered this river, we'll enjoy some delicious fresh tropical fruit and a typical Costa Rican lunch.

Welcome to an adventure on horseback to one of the most natural and surprising features of Costa Rica: Arenal Volcano. Witness this natural scenery throughout the route planned by Don Tobías, renowned horse trainer from this region.

The tour, which is carried out 100% on horseback, begins in the modern stables of Don Tobías’ farm. There, a professional team of guides prepares visitors with pertinent information. Child-sized equipment is also available. Nearly all of the tour takes place on private lands, crossing through second generation forest and primary forest, as well as beautiful pastures, some of which were used for cattle, and, of course, visitors will see the magnificent Arenal Volcano that accompanies visitors throughout the trip.

It‘s an exciting experience to start with a little walk to the first platform where you meet the guide specializing in Ecoglide. Here you get instructions in the necessary methods, you familiarize yourself with the safety and you know the promise of Canopy.

The canopy tour Los Cañones affords pure adrenalin in the gorgeous tropical rainforest of Costa Rica with the possibility of viewing feral animals. We meet at Hotel Los Lagos Spa & Resort. After the tour has started, a guide will you show on cable in the height of 2 meters how to handle with canopy. After this instruction we will leave to the first platform.

The tour starts with a about 3 km journey with a demotic barrow which is attracted from a tractor. It takes you to the Pino Blanco station, a lookout point, where you can look at the correspondent waterfall. Here you can enjoy the view, take pictures and in addition you get the equipment for the coming canopy.

“Sky Trek” is a tour full of adrenalin and on top of that it allows you to watch the rainforest on the viewpoints and first of all the Vulcan Arenal and the correspondent lake Arenal. After arriving the main building where the tour begins, you will be equipped with every necessary things for canopy (climbing harness, helmet,gloves) and the guide will give you first instructions. After that you get the safety instructions for right handling and they will show how the breaks are working.
